Romaine Valley Weddings & Events welcomed the community to its Fenton, Missouri venue on September 3, 2026 for a celebration a year in the making. A Steady Turnout All Afternoon
The Open House began at 11:00 a.m. and the celebration continued until around 2:30 p.m., with roughly 75 guests coming through over the course of the day. Family, friends, local business owners, and community members from Fenton and the surrounding St. Louis area stopped by to tour the venue and celebrate the milestone with Michelle and Rob.
A Warm, Welcoming Atmosphere
Guests were greeted at a welcome table with Romaine Valley branded mugs and small gifts, along with information about the venue to take home. From there, the afternoon had the feel of a relaxed community celebration rather than a formal event. Guests moved freely between the chapel, the Grand Hall, and the outdoor spaces, taking their time to see the property up close.
Activities and Vendor Information
The Open House also gave guests a chance to meet several of the local vendors who helped bring the day together and who are part of the Romaine Valley family. Joni Jacobsmeyer of 573 Party & Wedding Rentals designed the decor throughout the venue, from the table linens and florals in the Grand Hall to the smaller finishing touches guests noticed as they walked through. Guests could also pick up information from Complete Weddings + Events, which offers photography, videography, DJ, coordination, and photo booth services, along with Baked By Ryann, Andre’s Banquets & Catering, Party Time DJs, Phase 2 Patio, Valenti’s Market & Catering, and The Pasta House Catering. It was a great opportunity for future couples to connect directly with the vendors who help bring Romaine Valley weddings to life.
Food, Drinks, and Dessert
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests sat down to a meal cooked by Rob, along with soda, water, tea, and lemonade served from the venue’s bar. Nothing Bundt Cakes rounded things out with a dessert table of mini bundt cakes and cupcakes that guests could enjoy while mingling and touring the space.
Memorable Moments
What stood out most from the day wasn’t any single moment but the overall feeling in the room. Guests spoke warmly about Michelle and Rob throughout the afternoon, and the turnout made clear just how much genuine support surrounds Romaine Valley in its first year. It was a celebration that reflected the community spirit Fenton and the surrounding area are known for.
