Romaine Valley’s Open House and Ribbon Cutting: Celebrating a New Chapter in Fenton, Missouri

Open house and ribbon cutting celebration at Romaine Valley Weddings & Events in Fenton, Missouri

On September 3, 2026, Romaine Valley Weddings & Events opened its doors to the community for a special Open House and Ribbon-Cutting ceremony. It was a chance for neighbors, friends, family, and fellow local business owners from Fenton and the surrounding St. Louis area to see the venue up close, celebrate its first year, and look ahead to everything still to come.

The Purpose of the Open House

Michelle and Rob wanted a way to formally welcome the community to Romaine Valley and say thank you for the support that has carried the venue through its first year in business. Since hosting its very first wedding in May 2026, Romaine Valley has already welcomed dozens of couples to celebrate their big day in Fenton. The Open House was a chance to open the doors, put names to faces, and give the community a firsthand look at the chapel, reception hall, and grounds that so many couples have already fallen in love with.

The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The celebration kicked off at 11:00 a.m. and the official ribbon-cutting ceremony followed at 11:30 a.m., conducted alongside the Arnold Chamber of Commerce. Michelle and Rob were joined by family, friends, and community members for the ceremony, marking the moment as an official milestone for the venue and a recognition of the work that has gone into building Romaine Valley from the ground up. Guests and Community Support

Around 75 guests came through over the course of the afternoon, including family, friends, local business owners, and community members eager to tour the property and celebrate with Michelle and Rob. The turnout was a reminder that Romaine Valley is more than a venue. It is a business built on genuine relationships with the people of Fenton and the greater St. Louis area. The Chapel and Reception Spaces

Guests spent the afternoon touring the property, from the chapel to the Grand Hall reception space and the outdoor areas in between. For many attendees, it was their first time seeing the venue’s chandeliers, live-edge bar, and event spaces in person. Vendors, Refreshments, and Activities

The Open House was also a chance to celebrate the local vendors who played a part in making the event happen. Joni Jacobsmeyer of 573 Party & Wedding Rentals designed the decor for the day, from the table linens and florals to the finishing details throughout the Grand Hall. Guests also connected with Complete Weddings + Events (photography, videography, DJ, coordination, and photo booth services), Baked By Ryann, Andre’s Banquets & Catering, Party Time DJs, Phase 2 Patio, Valenti’s Market & Catering, and The Pasta House Catering, along with Nothing Bundt Cakes, who provided a spread of mini bundt cakes and cupcakes for dessert. Following the ribbon-cutting, guests enjoyed a meal cooked by Rob, along with soda, water, tea, and lemonade served from the venue’s bar.

Appreciation for Everyone Who Attended

Michelle and Rob want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with them, from family and friends to community members and the Arnold Chamber of Commerce. The warmth and support shown throughout the day was a highlight of the event and a reminder of how much this community means to Romaine Valley’s story.
